IRIDESCENCE

'A lustrous rainbow like play of colour caused by differential refraction of light waves' (as from a soap bubble or oil slick). In collaboration with the Society of Dyers and Colourist's "colour and the universe" brief, this project explores how light can affect colours we see in transparent substances. I wanted to portray the shape and movement found in these substances and use suitable yarns and techniques that emulate this.
